Reddit has officially launched its new mobile application
Mobile apps have always played a crucial role in developing and enhancing the business unit’s profits as well as goodwill. Whatever size a business may have, it should ultimately aim to successfully develop a mobile app that caters to all the needs of the customers. It is extremely beneficial both to the business units as well as the customers.
Reddit has officially launched its new mobile application for both iOS as well as android replacing the conventional yet popular alien blue service. The software is now officially available to download in Canada, Australia, UK, USA etc. This app is the fastest way to access Reddit and it will serve as a base for many updates which are yet to come.
The app is much sleeker and compact as compared to the past versions stated by the founder. In the previous years, this mobile app did not have much to offer to the users and the company had felt left behind. However, this year it has officially launched the app for a more enriched experience on the mobile devices.
The users can browse, makeup gradations and view the site more carefully by taking the advantage of different themes. For rich media content, the application comes with a “card view” option, and some specific features like “speed read button”. In this application, users will feel free to customize their sub- Reddit. Substantial improvements in other features like app size are being made.
The techniques which have been implemented to build the Reddit app is by the prior experience of Alien blue community for developing an app for iOS. The new code base has allowed the company to add multifarious features and add more updates to build stable clients in a less amount of time. The users can avail full benefits of dropping links, texts or photos or check into any account activity.
The company has planned on maintaining an advertisement for the first week. Prior to this year, there have been many controversies related to the company but now efforts are being consistently made in order to make the site more enriched and welcoming.
In totality, about 5000 users have the access to the app before the launch. Apart from this, talented engineers and product managers are being hired to develop this application and make Reddit the best place to work and best community to visit.
A new blocking feature has also been introduced by which the users can block any unneeded comments from their view. The app has been undergoing a change period from last year July and it is also live on iTunes app store and Google play. More than half of the population operates Reddit either from the website or from the third party applications.
One can get more clarity as to what to deliver when it is known that half of the populations is accessing the application via mobile. Reddit was undertaken as a huge success starting from a simple improvement project. The company is aiming at building a strong product team which will help to work on small as well as big changes.
