In response to the increasing demand for advanced telematics data analytics, United Rentals engaged us to design a data architecture for the ingestion, storage, and processing of large datasets collected from rental equipment. Understanding United Rentals' objectives, we undertook a mission to help them choose a Cloud-based, future-ready system with a flexible and extensible architecture to support future growth.
We developed a strategy combining the strengths of IoT and Cloud capabilities, leveraging AWS-powered Snowflake and PTC ThingWorx data platforms to realize United Rentals' vision. Snowflake provided access to a Cloud-Native enterprise analytic database with advanced functionality, while ThingWorx equipped United Rentals with powerful tools and technologies for the rapid development and deployment of IoT solutions.
